XRC Cohort 2 Candidate Social

It’s not enough just to submit an application and a pitch deck.  As part of XRC’s Cohort 2 selection process, XRC management, sponsors, mentors, and Cohort 1 alumni gathered on Thursday night (April 7th) at Parsons to meet with startup leaders. With hundreds of applications and interested founders, it’s important we get to know each other.

XRC invited industry mentors and sponsors to chat with founders from finalist companies.  The goal: help us evaluate the potential of both the founders and their ideas.  It was a great evening.  The event gave us the opportunity to see how well the entrepreneurs handled themselves when they gave impromptu “elevator speech”, that quick but all-important business pitch every business owner should have at their fingertips. The founders had the chance to network, meet mentors, and talk about the XRC experience with alumni from the prior class. (Later in the week we had long phone conversations with everyone who couldn’t fly in for the evening event, so all’s fair.)
