Kerstin built her career studying and experimenting in the space where technical function and high fashion can be forced to intersect. Kerstin's work asks how fashion can be made functional and how technical can be elevated to haute-couture.
Kerstin began her career mainly at Adidas, where she helped build their diffusion line business (SLVR, Y-3, Adidas x Opening Ceremony). In 2014, Kerstin was entrusted to build and launch Tory Sport, an athletic clothing diffusion line of Tory Burch. Today, she puts her experience to work serving as the Vice President of both Design and Development for Tory Sport, where she works still to marry fashion and function.
Kerstin earned a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering at the University of Rosenheim with a focus on textiles. She completed her master's degree in Integrated Product Design at the University of Coburg in order to better understand the techniques behind material ingenuity and design. Kerstin wrote about these topics in Function Joins Fashion (2013) in cooperation with the Adidas AG and the University of Coburg.
