A former Wall Street Executive, Melissa is the founder and CEO of Field-Test. Prior to founding Clark, she started The Lionesque Group, a firm of retail strategists and pop up shop experts who have created and produced more than 150 retail experiences across the United States. Some of her clients include major brands such as COTY/Marc Jacobs, Leesa, M.Gemi, Puma, Thrive Global and Penguin Random House. In 2017, she and her team launched an innovative retail format irl (In Real Life) in partnership with General Growth Properties bridging online retail with forward thinking in-store mall real-estate solutions.
She reflects on her work in her book, The Pop-Up Paradigm: How Brands Can Build Human Connections in a Digital Age. Gonzalez is also a regular contributor to ABC LA Radio with her segment #RetailWithMelissa. Among her awards, in 2016 she named one of Design:Retail's 40 under 40. In 2015 she was awarded Innovator of the Year for pop-up retail experiences by Retail Touchpoints. And, in 2014, her work was honored with the CLIO Image Award for experiential engagement, and was a finalist for the New York Design Award for marketing and branded experiences. She has also been awarded the Wall Street Journal’s Donor of the Day and one of the top 20 Most Inspiring People in New York City.
Aaron is the Co-Founder & CTO for Clark. Aaron has more than 14 years of technical and creative lead experience in New York City. Born outside Philadelphia, Aaron studied design & advertising at School of Visual Arts. Former Apple designer/developer of an internal resource portal, Aaron has also been a marketing director for an HPC division of Cantor Fitzgerald, an art director & producer for brands like Panasonic, Steve Madden and Shutterstock. He has also led software development of a chatbot for Dirty Lemon, a talent management system for Kitten Agency, a streaming video platform for Galore Media, and a virtual-reality property browser for Knight Frank.
