After receiving a degree in Business Administration in his hometown of Madrid, Antonio moved to Maastricht, The Netherlands, where he received a Master's degree in Management. After graduating, Antonio launched his career in fashion, which has spanned over 23 years.
Antonio began his career as a junior buyer. Antonio then started his own own retail company, which he headed for 17 years. During this time, Antonio oversaw the immense growth of his company, opening 5 flagship stores and maintaining presence in 85 retail stores throughout Europe and the Middle East. Managing the entire retail process, including design, buying, manufactuing and sales, Antonio lived between Seoul and Madrid during this time. Meanwhile, Antonio consulted for brands such as Maje and Ba&sh as well as startups. Antonio also worked as a teacher at the Instituto Europeo di Design in the areas of Creative Direction and Branding.
Upon the sale of his company, Antonio immediately began working for Zara, a company with which he had a longstanding relationship. Leading the accessories line for Zara Basic, Antonio managed the design team, the manufacturing chains and worldwide distribution.
In 2013, Antonio joined MTNG Footwear, the leader in the footwear industry in Spain. As Creative Director for MTNG, Antonio helped lead the design, quality standards, collection structure, timing, and team building processes. Antonio subsequently became the Head of Expansion for MTNG, where he oversaw the company's global sales. In his first year in this role, MTNG's overseas sales rose 60%.
Since 2015, Antonio has been the Sales Director and Senior Product Merchandiser for MTNG in New York. In this role, Antonio develops products for brands such as Free People, Anthropologie, Sundance and Forever 21.
